Last month we invited, together with the Swiss company Polycontact AG, to the Q.Infotag in Chur, Canton Graubünden in Switzerland. The special feature: through the cooperation with Polycontact, not only theory and practice merged together, but also the widely discussed experiences of the approximately 15 participants.
After a short introduction by Corsin Schütz, the COO of Polycontact AG, the participants focused in the first part of the event together with Babtec expert Steffen Troppmann on the question of how continuous quality management in the sense of the closed loop can be mapped with our software solutions. In addition to the QM software BabtecQ and its browser-based extension BabtecQ Go, the cloud-based platform BabtecQube was also discussed, which can be used to promote cross-company collaboration.
But how can this idea of the closed loop be transferred into practice? The answer to this question was given in the second part of the event by Jochen König, Head of QM, and Flurin Battaglia, Process Engineer at Polycontact AG. They reported about the company history, the development of quality management and also about their plans for the future. Within the framework of the Q.Infotag, the question of what role Babtec's software solutions play in this was naturally of great interest.
The answer was a particular highlight of the event: Flurin Battaglia presented an elaborate concept for integrating the processes surrounding FMEA and Control Plan. In this context, he reported not only on the challenges, but also on the added value that the development of such a concept brings to the company. The participants took the opportunity for questions and valuable discussions. A joint tour through the production halls as well as the laboratory of Polycontact AG showed the Babtec software in action and finally rounded off the program.
The event's formula for success? With a small group of 15 participants, the personal exchange between users, interested parties and the Babtec experts could be promoted. In addition to this networking effect, it was above all the deep insights into the concept of Polycontact AG as well as also the joint tour that made the Q.Infotag a very special one. "Getting to know the concept and in parallel seeing the implementation in the software was great. This also led to exciting discussions among our guests," says Steffen Troppmann.
