Since 2020, the two managing partners Michael Flunkert and Waios Kastanis have shared the management of the company with the extended management team. Together with Lutz Krämer (Products Division), Thomas Kogelberg (Finance and Central Services Division), Miro Morava (Sales and Services Division) and Dagmar Henkel (Human Resources), the software company is competently positioning itself in all business areas to meet the growing demands of the market. Managing Director / Strategy
Michael Flunkert, MBA (Master of Business Administration), studied business administration at the University of Applied Sciences in Düsseldorf. During this time, he already founded a system house that focused on the development of IT tools for quality assurance. In 1994, Flunkert founded Babtec Informationssysteme GmbH with the aim of providing all manufacturing companies with a standard software solution for quality management. As a shareholder and managing director, he actively promotes a positive error culture in quality management and puts the guiding principle of making the world a little better every day through quality into effect.

Waios Kastanis started his career in Sales at Ikoss GmbH, a subsidiary of Thyssen AG. In 1989, he took over the management of the Wuppertal branch of softmetal GmbH within the Thyssen Group. In 1991, Kastanis moved to the Stuttgart ERP company Strässle Informationssysteme GmbH. Since 1995, Kastanis has been a shareholder and managing director of Babtec Informationssysteme GmbH. He has made trust and cooperation at eye level his management maxim.

After graduating with a degree in engineering from the Technical University of Applied Sciences in Berlin, Lutz Krämer began his career in the IT department of a German corporation. He then took on various management roles in medium-sized software companies, sharpening his eye for the needs of the industry. He has held management positions at Babtec since 2006 and has been responsible for the Products division since 2014. In doing so, he places a special focus on creating scope for self-responsible action in his team and acting with a holistic view of the needs of all stakeholders.

After studying business administration, Thomas Kogelberg gained extensive experience in the areas of controlling, finance and administration in the software industry. Most recently, he was CFO of a well-known software manufacturer in southern Germany. Since 2021, he has stood for appreciation and teamwork at Babtec in a management position in the area of Finance and Central Services.

After completing a degree in mechanical engineering and an Executive Master of Business Administration, Miro Morava built up profound expertise in the strategic development and optimization of sales and corporate structures – in management positions and both nationally and internationally. He has proven his ability to strategically restructure company divisions and efficiently master organizational challenges. Since 2024, he has been responsible for the Customer & Solutions division at Babtec, where he contributes his technical and business expertise in equal measure.

Dagmar Henkel studied business administration at the Cologne University of Applied Sciences. Afterwards, the graduate in business administration gained extensive management experience in a renowned software company. After almost 20 years of successful HR work, she took over as head of the HR team at Babtec in 2019. True to her motto of the four M's “Man muss Menschen mögen” (engl.: You have to like people), she now puts people at the center of everything she does at our company.
