We’re looking for a self-starting Sales Consultant (m/w/d) who thrives on building trust, developing pipeline, and closing deals.
As our first Sales Consultant in Spain, you will play a pivotal role in bringing the unique Babtec spirit to the Spanish market. This is your chance to combine your passion for sales with your knowledge of the local market to make a real impact – all while enjoying the impressive surroundings of Madrid’s lively business scene!
Your New Job
- Own the sales cycle: Independently coordinate and execute the entire sales process in your territory – from targeted lead generation and product demos to negotiating and closing deals. You’ll proactively hunt for new business and build a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities
- Build relationships & trust: Cultivate strong, trust-based relationships with prospects and customers at all levels. With your personal touch and persuasive communication, you inspire stakeholders from end-users to C-level executives, becoming a trusted advisor on our quality solutions
- Leverage local market insight: Use your deep understanding of the Spanish market to identify customer needs, trends, and opportunities. You’ll be our local market expert, gathering competitive intelligence and spotting the right opportunities at the right time to drive sales growth
This Is You
We are looking for people who enrich our team with both their skills and their personality. If you tick the following boxes, then you are well on your way to becoming #partoftheteam:
- Education & industry know-how: A degree in business, technology, or a related field (e.g. Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering) or equivalent practical experience. Bonus points if you have background in quality management, IT systems, or ERP environments
- Proven B2B sales experience: A strong track record in B2B sales of complex, tech-oriented products or services. Ideally, you have experience selling software or solutions (for example, quality management or ERP software) and can quickly grasp new technical concepts.
- Passionate Salesmanship: Genuine enthusiasm for sales that translates into actively building and nurturing customer relationships. You thrive on meeting new people, understanding their needs, and providing solutions that make their businesses better.
- Willingness to travel: Flexibility to travel within Spain to visit clients and prospects (and occasionally to our German HQ) as needed. You have a valid driver’s license and enjoy being on the move to grow the business.
- Self-starter attitude: A highly self-motivated, proactive mindset – you take initiative and excel when working independently. You’re comfortable being the point person in Spain, structuring your day and priorities to meet ambitious targets without constant oversight
- Local market expertise: Native-level understanding of the Spanish market and business culture. You know how Spanish businesses operate and can leverage your network and insights to gain an edge. Fluency in Spanish and proficiency in English are required to communicate with both local clients and our international team.
